Venezuelan actress Maria Gabriela de Faria returns as Cora in FOX's The Moodys season 2. Maria talks to CineMovie about the new season and what regrets she has over the cancellation of Syfy's Deadly Class. The Moodys season 2 premieres April 1.
Maria made her Hollywood debut in SyFy's Deadly Class which was cancelled after one season, but the opporunity opened more doors with her next role in the FOX dramedy. She says it was a life-long dream to work with Elizabeth Perkins, and she's in awe of her series costars which includes Denis Leary, Francois Arnaud and Jay Baruchel.
In our Zoom chat, Maria talks about the new season of The Moodys, and why the cancellation of Deadly Class left her with many regrets in terms of not saying a proper goodbye to her costars. She says she cherishes everyday on set for The Moodys because of that. For more with Maria, watch below.

Maria Gabriela de Faria is an award-winning Venezuelan actress. Her first U.S. series was the cult-favorite cable series “Deadly Class,” in which she played assassin-in-training “Maria Salazar.” On the feature side, De Faria most recently was seen in the independent film “R#J,” which was an official selection to the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.
In Latin America, De Faria catapulted to fame in 2008, starring as “Isa” in the teen telenovela “Isa TKM.” She went on to star as the villain, “Mia,” in the international hit series “Grachi” (Seasons Two and Three). Her most recent hit series, “Yo Soy Franky!,” netted De Faria her twelfth International Kids’ Choice Awards nomination and her fifth win. She also was nominated for a U.S. Kids’ Choice Award for “Favorite Latin Star.”
