A 4K restoration of CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON is making its way back into movie theaters on February 17. The groundbreaking film by director Ang Lee introduced American viewers to Academy Award-nominated actress Michelle Yeoh (EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE).
CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON also stars Chow Fun Fat and Zhang Ziyi. The film featured stunning martial arts choreography by Yuen Wo Ping.
Yeoh and Yan Fat play master warriors in 19th-century China on a quest to find the stolen Green Destiny sword. A young aristocrat (Ziyi) soon learns she too has superior fighting talents as she prepares for an arranged marriage.
CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON is based on the book by Wang Du Lu. The film adaptation still holds the record as the highest-grossing foreign language film domestically, earning $128.1 million and $213.5 worldwide.
