The events started in SPIDER-MAN NO WAY HOME will have consequences in DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS when parallel worlds collide and bring about an alternate devilish-looking Doctor Strange, Rachel McAdams return, Elizabeth Olsen reprises the Scarlet Witch role and introduces Ms. America played by Xochitl Gomez (THE BABYSITTER'S CLUB). The first teaser which was included as a post-credit scene in the latest Tom Holland movie has finally dropped along with new images and a poster.
There's a lot happening in the first teaser preview of DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS directed by Sam Raimi. It seems opening one portal opened another more sinister world when Doctor Strange returns to his home after the events of SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME. A few characters return such as Chiwetel Ejiofor's Mordo - this time as a villain, Benedict Wong as Wong and Rachel McAdams as Strange's lost love Dr. Christine (McAdams). Strange seeks out Wanda's help and she's more powerful now as the fully realized Scarlett Witch.
Also joining the bunch is the latest young Avenger Ms. America Chavez which will be interesting to see how she factors in among this mess caused by Doctor Strange's spell.
DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS opens in U.S. theaters on May 6, 2022.
