First teaser trailer: Disney * Pixar's Toy Story 5

New Teaser Trailer, Images and Poster: Toy Story 5 First Look Introduces an AI Threat Voiced By Greta Lee

Disney and Pixar have finally dropped the first teaser trailer and poster for Toy Story 5, and this time, the beloved franchise is tackling a new frontier: technology versus toys. With fresh faces joining the classic crew, the teaser sets the stage for a hilarious, heartfelt clash between old-school playtime and artificially intelligent gadgets.

Meet Lilypad, the Smart Tablet Shaking Up the Toy Box
The biggest reveal from the trailer is Lilypad, a high-tech, frog-shaped smart tablet that instantly becomes the toys’ newest — and most formidable — challenge. Voiced by the brilliant Greta Lee (Past Lives, The Morning Show, TRON: Ares), Lilypad brings a mix of charm, menace, and digital precision.

The teaser shows Buzz, Woody, Jessie, and the gang scrambling to outwit a device that’s faster, smarter, and programmed to replace traditional play entirely. It’s the perfect modern antagonist — one that reflects today’s tech-obsessed childhoods and raises the stakes for our legacy heroes.

But the cast expansion doesn’t stop with Greta Lee’s Lilypad. In a pitch-perfect bit of casting, Conan O’Brien joins the toy chest as Smarty Pants, a toilet-training tech toy that’s sure to deliver comedic gold.

Conan O’Brien and Gretel Lee join returning voiceover actors Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, and Tony Hale.

Toy Story 5 hits theaters nationwide on June 19, 2026. And if this first look is anything to go by, fans should prepare for a story that’s as thoughtful as it is inventive — proving once again that there’s always more to explore “to infinity and beyond.”
